Start With The Basics
Everything is difficult at the beginning. At the start of the game, you only have 20 Grow A Garden Sheckles, which is very little. You can only buy carrots to plant on your empty plot. Each carrot seed costs 10 Sheckles, but they can be harvested in a few seconds. A carrot weighing about 0.34 kg can be sold for around 30 Sheckles. Of course, if you're lucky enough, you might get mutated carrots, which will earn you more money. This is part of the charm of farming.
Upgrading Plants
Once you've saved up some money with carrots, you can buy more cost-effective seeds. We should choose crops that can be harvested multiple times. I recommend strawberries first. Strawberries take about a minute to start producing fruit, but if you don't actively dig them up with a shovel, the multi-harvest plants will keep growing and making more and more fruit. Of course, you can also choose your favorite seeds, such as blueberries, or directly buy Grow A Garden items to speed up your Sheckle acquisition.
Buy A Sprinkler
In Grow A Garden, the cheapest sprinkler costs 25,000 Sheckles, so you'll need to save up for a long time. However, the sprinkler increases seed growth speed and fruit size, making your earning efficiency much higher, so it's definitely worth the money.
Therefore, once your garden reaches a certain size and your crops consistently generate thousands of Sheckles per sale, you should definitely buy a sprinkler. Looking forward to your huge harvest!
Complete Daily Quests
Daily quests may seem old-fashioned, but they are a reliable source of rewards. You can find them by clicking the "Guide" button on the left side of the screen during gameplay. There are three quests to complete each day. Completing them all will reward you with seed packs, equipment rewards, and more. If you complete all the daily quests within a week, you'll also receive additional seed packs! These seed packs can be used to obtain seeds that cannot be directly purchased. Oh, and remember to pick up the Forever Pack at the shop while you're at it. It's free and also gives you equipment and seed packs.
Start Raising Pets!
In Grow A Garden, you can buy the cheapest common eggs for 50,000 Sheckles. These eggs have a chance to hatch into a Golden Retriever or a domestic dog. They'll dig up random seeds for you, and you can even find some rare ones, which is very useful for beginners who want to collect more crops!
Pets mainly provide passive skills, including digging up seeds, providing Sheckles and equipment, increasing crop mutation rates, and accelerating plant growth. You can hatch 3 pet eggs at a time. You can also let your pets play happily in your garden. If you want to get your favorite pet, you can also directly buy Grow A Garden pets.
Don't Hoard Everything You Plant!
Your land is limited. Once you get enough Sheckles from growing strawberries, it's perfectly normal to want to plant rarer, higher-yielding crops.
As you unlock rarer seeds, you'll need to allocate your land more carefully. You can reserve some empty spaces specifically for completing daily challenges, and plant whatever seeds you like in the rest.
These are my suggestions; I hope they will help you enjoy Grow A Garden and make your gameplay easier.
